Project Coordinator, Department of Nutrition and Food Studies
The George Mason University Department of Nutrition and Food Studies, within the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS), is seeking to fill a Project Coordinator position. Responsibilities: This grant-funded, part-time (32 hour per week) position will provide support to the Project Director of a newly funded Potomac Health Foundation grant. This is a restricted position and cannot be guaranteed beyond this award. Responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Project Director and Co-Directors, as well as coordinating day-to-day operations and project management tasks. Other duties include, but are not limited to: staff/student training, planning activities, assisting with participant recruitment and scheduling, completing data entry and analysis reports, serving as liaison with community partners, organizing monthly Vidas Activas, famaLias saludablEs (VALÃ‰) team and Community Advisory Board meetings, and preparation of meeting agenda and minutes.
Required Qualifications: * B.Sc. degree or equivalent; * Bilingual, fluent in written and spoken Spanish; * Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in accomplishing a variety of tasks under deadlines; * Experience in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); and * Access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications: * M.Sc. degree; * Candidate must be detail-oriented; * Possess commendable organizational and correspondence skills; * Experience with statistical software (SPSS, SAS); * Ability to manage a team of staff and students; and * Comfortable working with children.
