Research and Knowledge Services Analyst

Bloomberg BNA seeks a Research and Knowledge Services Analyst to conduct moderately complex to highly complex research, which includes conducting database searches, interpreting results, and writing reports. Negotiates scope and content of research projects for clients.
- Conduct research, write, and prepare complex reports on a variety of topics of interest to business, legal, and corporate compliance customers.
- Speak to customers about document and research requests.
- Search databases, interpret results, and prepare reports for clients.
- Analyze data and statistics to identify main concepts and trends.
- Review and summarize information and enters into database.
- Help negotiate scope and content of research projects.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
3+ years’ professional experience in research and writing; previous client contact experience; experience using research platforms, database software and/or desktop publishing systems, including data entry and report generation; demonstrated ability to work independently in initiating and developing research projects and special reports on a variety of topics and issues; ability to assess client needs, plan and present solutions, and conduct appropriate research; demonstrated knowledge of research, statistics, and reference techniques; demonstrated knowledge of business, legal, and corporate compliance topics and issues; demonstrated ability to identify, understand, and summarize complex information from a variety of sources; ability to deal with internal and external customers in a professional manner; excellent written and oral communication skills, including excellent command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax; ability to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently in an atmosphere of shifting priorities; must work effectively as a member of a team, including helping others as needed ; excellent organizational skills; ability to work independently; knowledge of federal and state legislative, regulatory, and judicial processes. Bachelor’s degree; coursework in labor relations, human resources, and research methods is highly desirable.
