This is a Tier 1 position. Salary for Tier 1 positions in Army is normally between $163,5196 and $172,100. Pay is set based on consideration of selectee's current salary and other factors.

The Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (ACSIM) Chief Information Technology Officer develops and implements a cohesive and synchronized strategy for providing information management/information technology capabilities to Army installations worldwide. Serves as the senior executive responsible for design, modernization, acquisition, use, sharing, performance and termination of information resources IAW Public Law 104-106, the Clinger-Cohen Act. Independently anticipates and solves major challenges and strategic policy issues associated with frequent new and rapid growth in IT apparatus and theory that impacts support to installations. Autonomously explores and develops policies and procedures in IM/IT that continually improve the use of business technology and best practices. Performance is reviewed in the broadest terms for technical perceptiveness, managerial competence and senior leadership effectiveness for contribution to the OACSIM mission. Responsible for a budget of approximately $54M. Serves under the general direction and receives broad strategic guidance from the Deputy and the Assistant Chief of Staff Installation Management.
