The successful candidate will be responsible for:


Supports the DHS TIP Asset & Logistics team, for the St Elizabeths Campus. As such, his responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, supporting:
• Order Processing, Receiving, Stocking, and Delivery for Engineering/Implementation and O&M
• Warehousing, stock drawdown and disposition
• Bi-weekly warehouse inventories and reporting
• Recording of accountable personal property inventory items in Remedy
• Modification and update tracking of RMA'S
• Asset Tagging as required to meet O&M requirements
• Required quarterly physical inventories
• Required monthly inventory of O&M Spares
• Materials/Tools Procurement actions
• Ad-hoc Asset/Logistic reporting requirements
Members of the Asset/Logistics team are required to work independently or in small dynamic teams, throughout the St Elizabeths Campus buildings and warehousing facilities, with minimal/no supervision, in the performance of these functions.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asset Management Technician will be responsible for implementing asset management business processes through the asset lifecycle.
• Providing practical application and implementation of asset management best practices
• Implementing asset management (hardware, software, licenses) within the DHSTIP.
• Integrating asset management processes throughout DHSTIP service areas
• Implementing, managing, and maintaining automation in support of the IT asset management process
• Conducting asset management reporting for contractual, governmental, and internal requirements for DHSTIP
• General performance of the Asset management program throughout the asset lifecycle and DHSTIP
Participates in special projects as required.

  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.
  • 8-10 years of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an approved EOD (Entry on Duty).
  • Additionally, candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Work location is Washington, DC.
