Associate Director of Donor Relations and Engagement (Northeast Region) - Office of Advancement

The Associate Director of Donor Relations and Engagement (Northeast Region) manages the continued meaningful involvement of Georgetown's top level donors in the life of the university, and coordinates and supports the execution of campaign and regional engagement activity and events in the New York metro area. Reporting to Director of Donor Relations, the Associate Director has duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Works closely with the deployment and regional development teams to ensure engagement activity in the area is strategic, coordinated, and supported.
  • Acts as a knowledgeable ambassador, liaison, and engagement specialist to Advancement staff on the priorities, needs, and attributes of the area.
  • Provides cultivation and recognition assistance to individual donors and prospective donors in in the New York metro area.


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 to 5 years in the field of higher education development
  • Fundraising knowledge  - preference for experience with highest level potential donors and issues
  • Event planning experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite - particularly Word and Excel
  • Professional demeanor, confidence, good interpersonal skills, and ability to relate easily to a wide range of groups
  • Highly organized and disciplined
  • Innovative, creative, and independent thinker unafraid to to take initiative
