General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an immediate opening for a Sr. Cyber Remedy Developer.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  GDIT employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


The Sr. Cyber Remedy Developer will be responsible for providing technical support in requirements development, concept development, research and development, integration and test, and performance analysis on a BMC Remedy system. The candidate will serve as a contributor in the development of Remedy solutions which require regular use of ingenuity and creativity with a high degree of technical sophistication.


The candidate will function with general direction, and will have frequent inter-organizational interactions. Specific responsibilities include:


  • Develop and administrator BMC Remedy ARS applications and implementation of new functionality including forms, workflow, notifications, filters, escalations, menus, and other related components
  • Responsible for upgrading, installing, and configuring the BMC Remedy ARS, Mid Tier, CMDB, Incident, Problem, Asset, SLM, Service Request (ITSM suite), Dashboard and Analytics, and Knowledge Management
  • Provide application support including developing technical documentation, assisting with the development of end-user documentation, interfacing with application owners and the IT Help Desk, and properly tracking all support efforts
  • Use an Agile development approach for projects
  • Responsible for integrating ARS with a database engine and email engine
  • Create process, data and workflow models for integration with third party components
  • Maintain existing business processes and implement new processes using Remedy ARS and other components
  • Support the conduct of Integration & Test activities, including integration of software and hardware at the system level, conduct of tests and evaluation of test results, and performance of system-level requirements verification.
  • Adhere to development / architecture standards and methodologies
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical field is required (or equivalent experience), plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
    Qualifications Required Skills:

    • Expert knowledge of administering and programming of BMC Remedy ARS
    • Excellent oral and written communication
    • Understands ITIL best practices and experience in implementing the framework
    • Experience in surveying the customer to analyze user requirements and provide recommendations to ensure adherence to best practices 
    Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with versions ARS 8.1 and higher
  • Experience with MS SQL Server
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with JIRA Agile application
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development approach
  • Clearance Requirements:


    Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Candidates must be able to obtain DHS Suitability. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
