Works as part of an innovative co-occurring (substance abuse/mental health) long-term residential treatment program for adults. Will receive hands-on clinical experience, and professional development with potential for advancement in a progressive Fairfax County agency. Position includes provision of clinical services, supervision of counseling staff, coordination and development of mental health services, shares on-call duties with the supervisory team, works as a liaison with referral sources, and provides oversight of the facility. Requires day availability, and flexibility with evening, weekend, holiday, and overnight coverage.

Graduation from an accredited college with at least a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or nursing plus three years of clinical experience or a doctoral degree in psychology, social, counseling or nursing plus one year of clinical experience. Must be eligible to be licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Nurse Specialist.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, an Office of the Inspector General (OIG) check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, a driving record check, and a TB test to the satisfaction of the employer. Must communicate effectively orally and in writing and observe, process, and document clinical information. Must be able to access, input, and retrieve computer data.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED: Requires a valid motor vehicle driver's license with fewer than six demerit points (or equivalent in another state) at time of appointment and maintained throughout employment with CSB.
Certifications required within ninety (90) days from date of hire: First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of appointment and maintained throughout Community Services Board employment, for positions in residential and some outreach programs. Medication Administration Assistance Certification within 90 days of appointment, for positions in residential and some outreach programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders; master's degree in a counseling field; residential treatment experience; experience working with adults; supervisory and administrative experience. Current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following: Licensed or license eligible within one year as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to independently drive county vehicle. Ability to sit, walk, bend, stand, lift up to 25 lbs & write as needed to complete duties of the job. All duties perform with or without reasonable accommodations.
