DCS is looking for a software engineer experienced in the development of large, complex software applications using the formal CMMI Level 3 (or similar) process model to support the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) program.

The successful candidate shall have extensive software development experience and shall have led a software development team under a process-driven methodology (CMMI Level 3 or similar) and also be experienced in multiple Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) including waterfall and agile.

In this role, the successful candidate will be providing technical direction and on-site oversight for the design and development of the software used within the AAG system while working very closely with the prime contractor, and a team of NAVAIR representatives. Work will be performed at the GA site in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

Essential Job Functions:

Successful candidate will have a strong software test background along with experience in software process improvement (i.e. CMMI).

Candidate will work onsite closely with contract vendors and government personnel. Requirements Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree plus five(5) years of software development & testing leadership experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Must have solid experience working on software development projects using a process driven software development methodology such as CMMI Level 3 or similar.

Must have experience developing software in C/C++ on a Linux platform.

Must have demonstrated experience leading software development process reviews such as software code peer reviews and unit testing checklist reviews.

Must have experience working under multiple SDLCs such as waterfall, agile, and spiral.

Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
