The USAMRMC is a major subordinate Command of the United States Army Medical Command. The Commanding General, USAMRMC, directs the management of a number of medical research, development and acquisition programs. The CDMRP is responsible for planning, coordinating, integrating, programming, budgeting and executing these programs. GDIT is seeking a contractor to perform the following duties in support specific scientific programs.



  • Provide input regarding knowledge of scientific aspects of military medical research, along with providing input for scientific assessment to enable the program to meet its commitments and obligations.
  • Participate in defining scientific objectives, prepare research plans, and ensure that team administrative and scientific goals are met in a timely manner.
  • Participate in developing goals and milestones for program execution to include preparation of the Program Announcement or the Board Agency Announcement (whichever is applicable to the specific research program) to solicit research proposals to support program goals.
  • Execute plans for work flow for proposal receipt, review, quality control database entry, human use review, animal use review, environmental and safety review, and other program reviews by the command.
  • Attend pre-solicitation screening, peer and programmatic review and vision setting meetings and teleconferences.
  • Assist in the creation of comprehensive program evaluations, briefing slides and handouts for submission to the Director, CDMRP.
  • Assist in the review and management of funded projects, to include reviewing and interpreting research results with a view toward compliance with the statement of work, budgeting, safety, regulatory requirements, and intellectual property.
  • Continuously evaluate the grant management process and procedures that require alteration or improvement; when approved, execute changes.
  • Work with, and coordinate through administrative and scientific staff at the CDMRP, contracting personnel, regulatory compliance personnel, information management personnel, budget personnel, grants offices at funded institutions, and principal investigations.
  • Assist in providing life cycle management of assigned research grants.
  • Apply expert knowledge and understanding in specific areas of biomedical sciences to the management of the CDMRP funded research portfolio. (pain, spinal cord injury, post-traumatic headache, and tinnitus).
  • Provide expert analysis, evaluation, and improvement of the scientific programs and their administration.


Masters Degree in a scientific discipline. PhD highly preferred.




8-10 years of related experience in scientific research, analysis and/or engineering and grants management. Experience in neuroscience/psych health is highly desired.
