The PIR GEOINT Analyst will provide support to the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Battlespace Awareness Center (OBA) for timely, reliable and accurate missile-warning and infrared surveillance in support of the Intelligence Community. The candidate shall perform processing and exploitation of OPIR data and dissemination of OPIR phenomenology reports for modeling and geolocation support. The analyst will support the resolution of highly complex, technical problems to provide advice and recommendations, and will plan, conduct, and accomplish broad intelligence exploitation assignments to produce intelligence products. May be called upon to deliver presentations and assist in task planning.

 

Job Duties:

    Perform in-depth data exploitation and analysis of OPIR dataProduce reports on algorithm development/enhancement, tools, and data sourcesEnhance existing data projects in the application of remote sensing technology to solve intelligence issuesParticipate in Air Force Intel training programPrepare and present briefings and update internal report tracking metrics for analysisUpdate and maintain existing OPIR continuity documents provided by the government and create and maintain continuity documentsWork independently and in a team environmentMay require shift work
Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Geography or a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience

Qualifications

    8-10 years of related experience supporting statistics/data analysis and programming in data analytical language.5+ years' experience as a PIR Analyst performing SBIRS data analysis and exploitationSubject Matter Expert on MWIR and SWIR data analysis exploitationExperience with GEOINT EO and IR data desiredProven knowledge with Military intelligence supportAbility to work independently and in a team environmentGood written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate technical information effectively and clearlyStrong technical writing and briefing skillsBS or MS in Remote Sensing, Space Studies, Meteorology, or a similar scientific field is a plus
