GDIT has a Software Application Developer position with our on-site customer supporting their Digital Forensics delivery team. As a member of the team they will be involved with supporting our customer's mission and ensure the operational availability of state-of-the-art technologies and provide the technical expertise necessary to enhance and support customer's investigative efforts in the Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, Criminal Investigative, and Cybercrime Programs.
As the Software Application Developer they will develop and support software projects in a variety of programming and scripting languages and develop requirements documentation in support of multiple software tools and systems. This position will be a part of a development team that will design and implement changes and develop new software applications to meet the needs for forensic analysis and review.
The Software Application Developer will work in an adhoc development environment to engineer and write software to facilitate the collection, analysis, and display of data from electronic devices, computers, and digital media. They will write web application software, execute rapid prototyping, and successful implementation of software programs.
The ideal candidate will combine their passion and skills in application and software development with the desire to support an important federal mission with exposure to cutting edge technology in the digital forensic and evidence collection.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience writing and supporting mission-specific software tools
Demonstrated experience developing tools based on new and existing work products
Experience working on software development in a Windows Environment and projects in an Agile Development environment involving multiple developers as well as experience in gathering and producing requirements documentation.
Knowledge of Integrating Active Directory Security Groups for setting permissions and/or SSO.
Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
Active TS clearance required with ability to pass CI Poly
