General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking highly motivated technical professionals who are eager to play a major role in IT transformation at government agencies in the aviation and other transportation fields.

 

The IT Service Management (ITSM) Tool Architect will:

  • establish system requirements for ITSM tools through analysis of existing enterprise-sale infrastructure system elements (as-is) and planned changes to these elements (to-be)
  • develop tool architectures to fully support present requirements while considering future cross-functional needs and interfaces
  • provide direction and support to tool developers across process and technology (hardware, software, network communications) designs and implementation
  • ensure these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and ISO reference models, and profiles of standards - such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of information management solution of the application platform, across the Application Program Interface (API), and the external environment/software application
  • ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with the Agency enterprise architecture and applicable reference models
  • evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action
  • provide daily supervision and direction to staff
Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • Masters degree preferred
Qualifications
  • 15-20 years of related systems engineering experience
  • experience with Remedy
  • requires MCSA or CompTIA A+
  • experience with other ITSM platforms like Cherwell, ServiceNow, or other, preferred
  • CISSP, SSCP, Security+, or another ISO 17024 or ANSI accredited security certification, preferred
