GDIT is seeking a Scrum Master who is a facilitator for a product development and COTS integration team that uses scrum.


The Scrum Master will support a development/engineering team working on application integration of COTS products and custom Identity and Access Management solutions with focus on Identity Management suite integration, Scrum Master will need to be knowledgeable on what tasks have been completed, what tasks have started, and any new tasks that have been discovered. They are responsible for tracking the burn down chart. The Scrum Master needs to raise awareness of dependencies and blockers that are impediments to the ongoing sprint. These issues need to be prioritized and tracked and remediation plan needs to be implemented for impediments in priority order.


The Scrum Master will disseminate information to ensure that the team's progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders, including the team itself and works to assist the Product Owner and stakeholders with various activities. These activities include communicating updates and impediments as well as assisting with backlog and release plan maintenance. The Scrum Master will assist with programmatic responsibilities, such as creating status slides for the team, taking notes and reporting status to upper management and Product Owners.

The Scrum Master will:

  • Conduct on-going project meetings with the team, management and the Product Owner
  • Create an environment of team spirit and excitement around what is being delivered
  • Proactively resolve conflict between people and if needed escalate appropriately
  • Be responsible for time boxed (2-3 week) sprint planning and execution
  • Gather & disseminate project information on a regular basis, documenting team agreements, sprint plans, release plans, and retrospectives
  • Conduct meetings to gather information needed to complete the team’s deliveries
  • Support other team capability area’s and quality assurance activities
  • Perform general project management and coordination tasks
Education Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 5-8 years of directly related IT related Project Management experience.

Desired Skills/Experience:

    Jira, Greenhopper and confluenceSharePoint, MS Office (Including MS Project)Experience with agile projects in the federal space with development occurring across multiple levels
TS SCI security clearance is required at start. Candidate will need to obtain Polygraph.
