We have an opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and hardworking candidate to join AEI’s Conferences team. The Conferences team is responsible for more than 400 annual events, including special events such as the AEI World Forum, AEI Annual Dinner (large black-tie event), and Bradley Lectures. This position is responsible for assisting policy scholars and their staff with conference planning and execution and assisting in the planning and production of annual special events.
The ideal candidate will be happy in a fast-paced, demanding, team-oriented environment and also comfortable taking initiative and working independently. The ability to multitask and handle diverse projects and deadlines are a must. Superior communication skills and a high degree of discretion are also required. Day-to-day responsibilities include database management, metrics analysis, event invitations, managing guest RSVPs, and supporting event logistics and execution.
