The Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington, DC is generating an applicant pool of qualified adjunct lecturers to teach one to two courses per year in our MSc in Sustainability Management should the need arise for this or the next academic year. The Kogod M.S. in Sustainability Management degree at AU is designed to integrate future-oriented business education with environmental and social science, public policy, and international issues. It is one of the few non-MBA sustainability programs housed in a business school, and is fortunate to have the resources of one of the greenest universities in the U.S. to help advance sustainability both on and off campus. In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students and preparing course materials.
The minimum qualifications to be an applicant are a Masters degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Polar Studies, Environmental Science or related field at time of application. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D., a rich professional experience in the field, and teaching experience in a business school.
Compensation per class is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
