Position: Program Assistant/Administrative Assistant Level 

Location: Washington, DC – Navy Yard

Status: Open

Full time  - Responsible for providing program and administrative support to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Responsible for performing and coordinating an office's administrative activities - storing, retrieving, and integrating information for dissemination to staff and clients. Create, maintain and track data spreadsheets, create/edit reports, and provide support to day-to-day operations.  Additional responsibilities may include planning and scheduling meetings and appointments, organizing and maintaining hard-copy and electronic files, managing projects, conducting research, and disseminating information by telephone, mail services, websites, and e-mail. Produce high quality and error free documents in response to program requirements. Prepare briefing papers and reports for upper level management - Checks for grammar, punctuation, clarity, style, and flow. Copy edits and proofreads reports, including figures and tables


Must have BA/BS degree; minimum two years experience in writing/editing. Ability to interface with all levels of management and internal/external customers as needed. Proficient level of computer knowledge is essential, including MS Office products. Must Possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently.
