The George Mason University Division of University Life, on the Science and Technology (formerly Prince William) campus, is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual for the position of Card Services and Campus Tours Assistant. The mission of the Division of University Life is to engage students in educationally purposeful experiences resulting in student learning and development, academic success, and degree completion. University Life strives to enhance students in and out of class experience; facilitate interaction with faculty and staff, and other students; and help each student find his/her place in the Mason community.

Responsibilities: The Card Services and Campus Tours Assistant will serve as a member of the University Life staff at the Science and Technology campus by creating ID cards for Mason students, faculty and staff; and lead campus tours, present programs and assist with maintenance and oversight of the Science and Technology campus Community Garden. The incumbent will have direct contact with Mason students and provide exemplary customer services to every member of the Mason community.

Required Qualifications: * Fundamental knowledge of event planning and coordination; * Strong communication skills, both oral and written; * Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills; * Possess basic computer skills (knowledge of Microsoft Office suite); * Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and diverse environment; * Willingness to be flexible with tasks and work schedule; * Positive attitude and willingness to learn; and * Provide creative support for marketing all University Life, Science and Technology campus events.

Preferred Qualifications: * Positive attitude and willingness to learn; and * Ability to work in a team oriented atmosphere.

This position will report to the University Life, Science and Technology Administrative Assistant.
