GDIT is looking for a candidate to support the Mission  Command  Center  of Excelllence Directorate of Training Mission Command Functional Courses.  This position is in direct support of the Digital Master Gunner Course. The candidate will

Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Duties include setting up administrator and service accounts,

maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor

products. Makes recommendations for installing hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.   Conduct troubleshooting and teach troubleshooting to students.   Maintain accountability and status of assigned property and systems.   Diagnose trouble and report requirements for higher level support to customer; coordinate repair/replacement of faulty equipment. Support instructors whose duties include but are not limited to the following: facilitate, deliver, update, develop instruction in Mission Command (MC) Functional Courses as well as perform operator level maintenance of Mission Command Systems in the classrooms and equipment labs.   Perform instruction as prescribed in the Government approved program of instruction (POI) or training support package (TSP).   Perform administrative duties in support of courses and students, including the functions of enrollment, scheduling, attendance, performance assessment, academic performance reports, student surveys, and personnel assistance. Participate in the MC community of interest portal and respond to queries and issues submitted there. Set up, account for, maintain, troubleshoot and account for laboratory and classroom systems, including audio-visual equipment.   Perform security procedures and checks.   Implement, oversee and perform information assurance and OPSEC functions. Develop and recommend updates and changes to instructional materials, system configuration, and policies/procedures for using systems. Prepare and deliver briefings and presentations. Attend and successfully complete periodic training on new and updated MC systems taught in the course(s).

 

Education Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

    SECRET Clearance.5-8 years of systems administration/systems analysis experience (2-4 in Mission Command systems related roles).Graduate of Mission Command System Integrators Course (MCSIC) and Mission Command Digital Master Gunner Course (MCDMG).Documented proficiency in installing, initializing, operating and maintaining Mission Command Workstation and a network linking (at a minimum) the following MC systems: AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, FBCB2, CIDNE, TiGR, BCS3, DCGS-A, and GCCS-A. Proficient in working collaboratively with Microsoft SharePoint and using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated expertise/experience in setting up, testing and operating IT networks.Computer/IT experience to operate, perform user level maintenance of individual networks and interactive networks of systems.Graduate of an Army or other service Instructor Training Course and 2 years’ experience as a service school instructor.Certification in network systems administration and information security/assurance as required by the task order.Effective communicator (oral and written), able to design, develop and deliver papers and presentations.
  

Preferred qualifications:

    BA/BS and five years’ experience supporting MC systems to support mission planning, training and operations.2-4 years’ experience in systems administration support for U.S. Army MC courses.Command Post of the Future (CPOF) experience as a U.S. Army officer or senior NCO.4 years’ experience supporting the MCSIC and MCDMG courses.
