Job Description: Sr. Microsoft .NET Developer Position Description CGI is looking for Cross Functional Senior Developer with .NET and some Java experience to join our Federal Business Unit to support a Federal Client in Arlington, VA. The successful candidate will support various projects within the Federal government and work on a team supporting an extensive application portfolio. Duties will include maintenance of existing applications and contributing towards design and implementation of evolving applications. Your future duties and responsibilitiesPlanning, analysis, design, coding, and testing software applicationsWork as integral member of technical teams, supporting standard SDLC phases by regularly performing tasks such as interpreting program specifications and providing analysis, contributing to design, programming/coding, and testing results.Debug programs and troubleshoot application issues, in production and development.Implement SOAP/REST based enterprise applications, modify and maintain SOAP/REST services, and provide technical guidance related to SOAP/REST services.Follow application development practice by adhering application security model.Develop via service-oriented, and Agile development methodologiesCreate and maintain technical documentationCoordinate with management, other business groups, departments, and IT staff Required qualifications to be successful in this role5+ years' experience developing in the .NET platformAt least 5 years of experience in developing .NET web applications and web services.At least 3 years of experience in developing SOAP/REST web services for client consumptionAt least 5 years of full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experienceAt least 3 years of experience developing and managing deployment life-cycles using Ant or Maven and Continuous Integration environmentsAt least 3 years of experience developing applications that utilize XML and related technologiesExperience with MVC framework, jQuery, Angular. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage in a self-directed fashionExperience with desktop application environment and network troubleshootingStrong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage in a self-directed fashionExperience developing and managing deployment life-cycles using Microsoft TFS and related toolsExperience in all phases of the SDLC including analysis, design, coding, and testing.Knowledge of and experience with Agile practices including SCRUM, Kanban, and TDD.US Citizenship required with ability to successfully obtain mid-level, agency specific security clearance (eg, no bankruptcies within the last 26 years and no criminal records)Working from home is not allowed per the contract.
