Job DescriptionSeeking FT Call Center Agent for large Primary Care Family/Internal Medicine Practice in Germantown, MD.Applicant should have the following experience to qualify: medical receptionist experience, NextGen EHR/EPM, Medical Terminology required. Bilingual recommended.Competitive salary and benefits. Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM. Must have proven work history.Pre-employment drug screening is required.Essential Job Responsibilities:This position is responsible for answering and properly handling/routing telephone calls in a prompt professional manner for the purpose of official PPA business and patient care.Schedules appointments for patients either by phone or through the Patient Portal. If medical practice offers after-hours/same-day appointments, schedules these appointments following scheduled same-day and triage protocols as in the case of a sick child, which may mean scheduling the patient with a physician or physician assistant other than their primary physician.Uses manual/computerized system to match physician/physician assistant (PA) availability with patientA cents € (TM) s preferences in terms of date and time.Maintains scheduling system so records are accurate and complete and can be used to analyze patient/staffing patterns.Ensures that updates (eg, cancellations or additions) are entered immediately.Communicates as needed with physicians/PAs and other staff about any patient concerns/issues related to scheduling. Consults with Office Manager about any system problems.Uses customer service principles and techniques to deal with patients calmly and pleasantly.Other duties as assigned.Education: High school diploma.Experience: Must have proven work history.Company DescriptionPrivate medical practice
