Trent University invites applications for the Canada 150 Research Chairs Program from exceptional internationally-based scholars and researchers, including Canadian expatriates, from across all disciplines. Successful candidates will be outstanding scholars with a world class reputation holding a Ph.D. degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline, with relevant professional designation or licensure. Researchers who are already at a Canadian institution are not eligible to apply as per the terms of reference for the Canada 150 Research Chairs Program. Candidates must also demonstrate a track record of excellence in maintaining an outstanding externally-funded research program and in teaching and training of highly qualified personnel as evidenced in an exceptional curriculum vitae and strong endorsement by referees of high international standing. Nominations are invited from all ranks and in any academic discipline. Successful candidates will be appointed to a tenure stream or tenured position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor within a relevant department/school. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All applicants are subject to review by the Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat, and appointments are conditional on their approval.
