Job Description: Data Migration Analyst - Federal ERP Position Description The Data Migration Analyst will support efforts to define the data migration requirements and proposed solution for migrating data from numerous legacy systems and into Momentum's data structure. The tasks include gathering existing data models, defining to-be data architecture, developing data migration strategies and overseeing conversion script development. Your future duties and responsibilities -Identify and document data migration requirements. -Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and escalate issues as needed for resolution in a timely manner. -Develop a strategy for migration of financial management and procurement data from legacy systems into Momentum -Develop data migration process flows and prepare documentation describing the data migration approach. -Perform data mapping of source-to-target data sets. -Identify data migration extract, transformation, and load rules. -Collaborate with functional teams to achieve business results. -Develop data migration solutions to support To-Be business models. -Disseminate information across the team, and keep up to date with functional improvements of solution. -Develop data migration execution plans -Lead efforts during test data migration exercises and refine conversion scripts. Required qualifications to be successful in this role -Bachelor's Degree -Must have at least 5 years of related experience (data migration design and implementation). -Strong knowledge of data transformations and data migration design and implementation principles. -The data migration analyst must have both functional and technical expertise including experience creating and tuning complex SQL and PL/SQL, building and executing scripts, knowledge of the Momentum database structure, knowledge of Momentum functional components and features, and experience performing large data migrations in an ERP environment (legacy-to-ERP, ERP-to-ERP). -Government finance/accounting knowledge is preferred -Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver desired outcomes. -Strong background in functional analysis and requirements gathering, and solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) -Must be a self-starter and be able to work both independently and within a team -Strong problem-solving skills -Strong communication (written and verbal) skills are required and must be able to interface well with the end-users and client -Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required. -Although this task is expected to be performed from the Fairfax office , must be willing and able to commute to downtown DC. -Must be able to travel up to 25%. -Must be able to obtain a government security clearance to start employment.
