The Hyperion developer is a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team responsible for development and support of the company's Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and HFM applications. This individual will work with senior leaders across the Finance and MIS organizations to develop solutions which align with the vision and strategy for the Hyperion systems at ETRADE Financial. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment, welcomes a challenge, learns fast and works under tight deadlines. This individual will be responsible for supporting major firm-wide initiatives while providing innovative solutions.This position is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of Oracle Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications. This position collaborates with IT & Financial staff to ensure financial models are meeting organizational needs.Develop new applications and tools to support the changing needs of the business, eg, implementation of FDMEE, DRM and development and deployment of Hyperion planning application (including PBCS) with integrations to multiple data sourcesFacilitate daily maintenance of Essbase and Planning applications, version - metadata, sub variables, allocations, calculation and report script development.Support the monthly financial consolidation process, in particular the daily loads and hierarchies from core source systems, as well as forecast and budget processes.Configure and maintain FDMEE integrations between Hyperion Planning, Essbase, HFM (HTP) and ERP applications.Perform database optimization and tuning of Essbase cubes for retrieval and calculation performance.Develop and manage scheduled job routines within Hyperion Planning, Essbase and between other reporting applications.Assist in development of new application to facilitate reporting needs.Ability to leverage advanced analytical skills to challenge current processes, data, and reports for accuracy and improvements.Support end user audience with Hyperion reporting applications and Smart View. REQUIREMENTSExperience in creating complex business rules and calculations scripts.Advanced knowledge of Oracle EPM suite: Planning, Essbase, Smart View, Workforce Planning, Report Writing Studio, FDMEE, DRM, BSO Partitioning.Full technical understanding of Oracle Hyperion Planning, Essbase, HFM (HTP) and all its related components.Full competency with Oracle EPM and data/metadata integration too set, specifically Administration Services, Esscmd, MAXL, MDX, FDMEE, DRM and Shared Services.Working knowledge of ETL processes (FDMEE/ODI) and metadata management tool (DRM).Working knowledge of Hyperion Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS).Understanding of Financial Planning processes and how they integrate with other areas of an organization.Exceptional customer service with focus on the end-user.Experience with general ledger systems a plus.
