Job Description: Oracle DBA (Secret Clearance) Position Description CGI is seeking an Oracle DBA to work within a team in environment at a client site in Northern Virginia. The Database Administrator is responsible for performance, integrity and security of all databases and will translate date, application and process requirements into appropriate database solutions. Your future duties and responsibilitiesInstall, configure, maintain (upgrade and patch) Oracle databaseCreate, monitor, optimize database performance utilizing advanced performance tuning skillsAutomate recurring or redundant database tasksMaintain database integrity, availability, and restorabilityExecute and automate database refreshesWork in an Agile Scrum environmentProvide on-call support which can require analysis and trouble shooting of complex issuesLead and contribute to design discussions in a cross-functional project settingDevelop database standards, guidelines and best practicesDesign and architect solutions which often require complex system integrationPerform capacity planning and project estimationEvaluate and research new database features, version and technologies Required qualifications to be successful in this role5+ years Oracle database administration experience in a data warehouse environment (managing multiple databases)Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent (experience in lieu of a degree)Oracle 12c experience is requiredOracle Database Administration experience with configuration, load balancing, backup/recovery, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, diagnostics, and proficiency in the use of Oracle's Enterprise ManagerExperience with OracleMetlink support and opening Service Requests is desiredExperience with Oracle Enterprise ManagerExperience with WeblogicCandidate must have an Active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret ClearanceAbility to work in a Unix environment including an ability to write scripts in UnixOutstanding communication and troubleshooting skills DesiredAIX experienceDue to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
