Job Description: Sr. SharePoint Applications Engineer Position Description CGI Federal is seeking a Sr. SharePoint Applications Engineer for a federal project. Your future duties and responsibilities - Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation. - Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. - Estimates software development costs and schedule. - Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time and improving current techniques. - Formulates and defines specifications for software applications or modifies and maintains existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. - Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. - Instructs, directs, and checks the work of other task personnel. - Responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products. Required qualifications to be successful in this role - Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Minimum 8 years of experience in application development, system administration, integration and O&M support on Microsoft SharePoint platforms. - At least 2 years of experience in SharePoint 2013 and above. - Experienced with SharePoint online is a plus. - 5 years of experience as lead developer and lead O&M support, responsible for overall architecture, design; experience supervising, troubleshooting complex issues or guiding team members in all software lifecycle phases (design, code, test, integration, deploy, support). - Experience with modern programming and scripting languages, web frameworks and open standards (HTML5, REST,etc..) modern front-end web programming techniques and frameworks. - Experience with build, test automation or continuous integration is a plus.
