JOB TITLE: Software Engineer III Location: Dulles, VA Travel Requirements: Travel to other Axios Locations or Customer Sites as necessary Description Axios, a wholly owned subsidiary of LGS Innovations, is seeking a Software Engineer III for our Dulles, VA office location. In this position you will: Under general direction develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (eg, processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based on documented requirements. Roles and Responsibilities: Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features, to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards Integrate software modules into larger systems Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components Serve as a team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints; Perform quality control on team products Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures Perform other duties as required Qualifications Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and 4-6 years of related experience or a combination of education and related experience Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree Four to eight (4-8) years of experience as a software engineer C++ and Python experience working in a Linux environment Demonstrated experience building SIGINT systems Experience with X-MIDAS desired Knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and/or DSP Frameworks is a plus Clearance: TS/SCI Required Full Scope Polygraph desired For a listing of all LGS Innovations and Axios open positions, please visit our website at Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled E-Verify(R) is a registered trademark of the US Department of Homeland Security.
