Job Description: CACI is searching for Software Engineers looking to make an impact on National Security Systems. We are looking for a motivated, team-oriented Software Engineer to join a talented and dynamic team of engineers supporting a Government Customer in Chantilly, VA. The successful candidate will work within a team environment to implement customer solutions utilizing Python, JavaScript and Java. We are offering an enhanced benefits program for this effort: More details on the benefits These benefits are quite unique. Basically, these enhanced benefits equate to 50% of salary on TOP of your base salary. The first part is a tax-qualified profit sharing retirement plan to which we annually contributes up to 25% of your base salary (not in excess of applicable IRS limits) to your retirement account under the plan. The second part consists of our Individual Benefit Account Plan (the IBA), which is used for premiums, medical reimbursements, dependent care, education and our Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy. Both components of the this benefit package are paid for by CACI-Data Tactics in addition to your base salary and potential performance bonuses. POSITION SUMMARY: The candidate will work with team members in determining and testing functional requirements and providing documentation for end users. RESPONSIBILTIES: Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, and scientific applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Formulates and designs software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develops software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation. Consults with customer concerning maintenance of software system. Provides support for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and operations of computer systems hardware, software and networks within assigned customer work stations and facilities. Supports proposal efforts by significantly contributing technical material to selected proposals and reports to substantiate and secure program funding. Identifies creative solutions to improve system and product offerings. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical problems associated with specific projects Researches problems discovered by quality assurance or product support and develops solutions to the problems. Works with engineering and management team to collectively meet market requirements. Documents engineering work as input for company collateral and patent requirements. Collaborates with technical writers to create customer-relevant documentation. Coordinates with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones. Establishes and maintains inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. CACI is searching for software developers looking to make an impact on National Security Systems. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelors degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related work experience. Requires knowledge of computer languages and computer logic. BS degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or related technical field 3+ years of development experience with the ability to develop in Python, Javascript and Java Experience with Logstash, Regular Expressions, and Elasticsearch Experience developing software using the Agile/Scrum methodology Ability to work well with a collaborative team and contribute to application development vision Strong oral and written communication skills DESIRED Experience with AWS, EC2 or similar cloud services platforms Experience with modern web client technologies (HTML5) Experience working with software build tools (maven) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins) Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite Ability to work within aggressive timelines and in a team environment Willingness to learn and grow PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
