Responsibilities: Join an exciting program involved in studying cutting edge technologies in beating our adversaries. You will have the opportunity to lead the implementation of designs and the translation of customer needs into design requirements. These actions will be done in development support of analytic products or in feasibility studies to research new products. We are looking for a mid level Software Engineer to assist in our development of web-based analytic applications. The successful candidate will perform a variety of software design and implementation tasks including ingest and management of large data streams, modeling and simulation, data visualization, and web-based user interfaces. The candidate will provide software development and/or support to software integration and software maintenance and sustainment tasks, including development of technical documentation as required. Responsibilities Develop both graphical interfaces and back end softwareProduce Java code in an agile development environmentCreate user-focused documentationStrong desire to learn new technology areas and new programming languagesWork well independently, with strong self-direction and initiative, as well as within a team structure. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Must have a Top Secret clearanceBachelor's Degree in a related field (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) An additional four (4) years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Seven (7) years of programming experience with C, Java, Python, JavaScript or C++Strong analytical and exceptional problem-solving abilities Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work well as part of a team and be comfortable in a multi-tasking environmentExperience in Web applications developmentWorking knowledge of Windows, Macintosh, and Linux operating systemProven ability to work independently and under tight time-lines Desired Qualifications: Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence and source version control tools such as SVN or GitPrefer some experience with SQL and NoSQL database Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented designComputer programming skills in Java/J2EE, Web Services and APIsExperience in developing analytic tools for the IC community.
