The JIRA Senior Administrator will manage, maintain, and support all JIRA configuration changes including the evaluation and support of plugins across multiple environments. The administrator needs to work independently with multiple areas of the company. Responsibilities: Upgrade JIRA within the required environments Ensure JIRA exists in all the required environments Ensure that proper backup procedures are followed Ensure that run-time processes are in place Troubleshoot issues for users, as needed Be the subject matter expert for JIRA Serve as end-to-end product owner for JIRA Provide day-to-day support, administration, maintenance, and enhancement of JIRA for the enterprise Create complex custom projects, workflows, schemes, screens, fields queries, reports, dashboards, and virtual huddle boards Take the lead in working directly with cross-functional, agile teams to understand customer needs, and provide guidance on what may or may not be possible to within JIRA to meet those needs Test, install, and configure plugins and add-ons to harness the full potential of JIRA, and integrate JIRA with legacy systems Research and utilize industry methods, techniques, and best practices. Good understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile Responsible for documentation. Oversee documentation done by more junior JIRA administrators Provide technical assistance and training in using JIRA and other tools as identified Ability to build collaborative relationships Possess overall business acumen Identify opportunities to be creative and innovative Demonstrate good conflict management skills and be decisive Possess good presentation skills Be comfortable interacting with senior management Develop materials for and host JIRA admin and end-user training Provide JIRA leadership Responsible for setting JIRA strategy, maintaining JIRA processes, completing JIRA backups, selecting plug-ins, and managing licenses Mentor and provide systems and technical training to more junior-level JIRA administrators Provide specific work assignments to more junior-level JIRA administrators Requirements: 4 year college degree in Computer Science or Related Field of Study 5+ years experience Experience in training Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
