Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Participate in or manage the planning and construction of copper and fiber optic cable networks for new build, rebuild or repair.Develop and maintaining project schedules and scope of workConducts planning and provides recommendations to customer on task workloadAttends customer meetings and may serve as primary customer liaison.Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other customer staff on behalf of the customer.Project coordination between subcontractors and In-House TechniciansWork closely with Customer personnel to achieve timely completion of assigned work.Prepares documentation for updates and approval of work as needed.Complete/develop project close-out documentation Submit reports on all construction activity, daily, weekly and monthly as requiredActs as key contact with all parties involved to ensure that objectives are being met. Prepares and delivers timely, accurate and complete reports and schedules.Must possess the ability to perform the technical responsibilities of a Cable Installer and function as a lead member of a technical team. The systems engineer will coordinate small groups of installers in the performance of daily workload including adherence to Company safety and quality standards.Will install a work area outlet for floor, modular furniture and wall (terminate CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks. Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly. Adhere to local site standards).Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware). Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required. Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).Performs testing: continuity test horizontal and riser cable; use of volt-ohmmeter; troubleshoot opens, crosses, shorts and transpose pairs on horizontal and riser cable; use a tone set.Will fully complete all paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).Will adhere to and participate in all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.Participates in special projects as required.Will complete other responsibilities as assigned. 
Education 1. Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

 2. Professional certification (PMP) preferred.


3. BICSI Certification Preferred

Qualifications 8-10 years of related experience, including supervisory experience.

    Ability to oversee small to mid-sized projectsMust be experienced with fiber optic splicing and testing procedures.Exceptional attention to detailEffective time management and logical decision-making ability.Strong planning, network mapping, and organizational skillsManage, organize and prioritize multiple projects. The role will perform in a team-based environment, but must be self-motivated, focused on attention to detail, and able to self-manage a projectExcellent verbal/written communication skills.Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).Must possess proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 75 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.Must be able to work while walking & sitting/kneeling & crouchingMust be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.Ability to carry and climb a 28' ladderWorking in all weather conditionsAbility to fusion splice and OTDR test is plus.
