Sr Princ Specialist, Training
Reserach, develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel. Serves as the primary interface with unit leadership in the establishment of operational environement (OE) scenario design for unit training objectives and development of training events. 1. Coordinates the development and delivery or complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives. Performs expert-level development and delivery of highly complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives. 2. Establishes and reviews course content and objectives. 3. Manages exercise planners and organizes planning teams with members from each MTC-HI branch (as appropriate) in order to accomplish specific requirements of each exercise. 4. Conducts regular meetings with exercise planning teams for the purpose of coordinating tasks and requirements between the various training branches. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Is recognized as a subject matter expert in the field in which he/she is training. 5. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness. Develops OE scenarios, products and materials, such as OPLANS, OPORDS, graphical overlays, and briefings based on consultation with clients and user specifications for use in all collective training events. 6. Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance. 7. Provides work leadership to lower level employees, including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs, and may have supervisory responsibilities. 8. May serve as technical team or task lead. 9. Conducts research into new training, educational, humannitarian assistance, disaster relief missions, civil-military relations and operatons. 10. Maintains doctrinal currency and situational awareness of the Pacific AOR, to include the South Pacific, OCEANA, North East Asia, and South East Asia. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned, technicial proficiency for multiple C4ISR systems and expertise with GWOT operations, Army doctrines and tactics, techniques, and procedures. 11. Consults with MCTP, HQDA G27, NSC, and all other users to design and support exercise events which meet their training requirements for echelons ranging from company to echelons above corps. Initiates and maintains contacts with key personnel and technical representatives of the customer or other organizations. 12. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: 1. Active Secret Clearance. 2. 10-15 years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Former Foreign Area Officer (FAO) opr Civial Affairs Officer with recent (305 years) experience in the Asia Pacific Region and be a gradudate of a U.S. Army Command and General Staff College or MEL 4 equivalent course. 2. Familitarity with MCNS systems to facilitate training with military customers and provide expertise during digital exercises and digital staff integration training. 3. Familiarity with Joint Doctrine, Interagency, Multinational and UN operations and familiarity in other military war fighting function areas. 4. Capability of being a project manager (exercise lead). Meet with customers to determine all training and support requirements. Capable of coordinating and managing OE assets to execute training event. 5. Ability to write operation orders and annexes, including both Joint and Multinational and UN documents. 6. Capability of interfacing with both US and foreign military customers in support of exercises from small units to JTF levels. Determines all requirements involving bi-lateral/multinational exercise requirements. 7. Experience or familiriarity with Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief missions, the Global Peace Operations Initiatives or United Nations Peacekeeping Operations. 8. Constructive simulations experience and is familiar with Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) simulations. 9. Willing to travel in support of PACOM area of responsibilities.
