Information Security Architect
Sr. Cyber Security Architect is responsible to integrate all required Cyber security requirements to the Sr Architect to ensure a Authorized To Operate design and infrastructure developed by the program. Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. 1. Performs Computer Security Incident Response activities for a large organization, coordinates with other government agencies to record and report incidents. 2. Monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues for remediation. 3. Recognizes potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information. 4. Evaluate firewall change requests and assess organizational risk. 5. Communicates alerts to agencies regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications and operating systems. 6. Assists with implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls. 7. Performs periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance. 8. Analyzes the information systems to ensure that appropriate security functions have been included in the systems design and architecture. 9. Performs preliminary forensic evaluations of internal systems. 10. Leads the development and implementation of the information systems security programs 11. Provides guidance in the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and other similar documentation 12. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 13. Participates in special projects as required Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering or Equivalent; Cyber Security preferred Qualifications 15-20 years of experience required. Computer Security System Specialist - Level IIIExperience, min 12 years:5+ years primary role performing Certification and Accreditation (C&A) in DoD environment.10 years information assurance support roles including risk management, network security auditing and network configuration compliance. 2+ years primary role performing C&A in DoD environment using Risk Management Framework (RMF).Certifications:IASAE Level III in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M http://iase.disa.mil/iawip/Pages/iabaseline.aspxDemonstrated skills:C&A RMF preferred; System Engineering experience; experience with network level devices, firewalls, proxies, virtualized technologies Ability to analyze Layer-2 and Layer-3 networks, firewalls, proxies, ports and protocols, etc. for security configuration compliance.Knowledge and experience with C&A processes in DoD environments, preferably with experience using Risk Management Framework (RMF), and demonstrated completion of C&A tasks required to achieve ATO for complex systems or networks.Ability to develop risk assessments, analyze and evaluate complete networks using a variety of security tools. Experience with securing network virtualization technologies used to consolidate network control functions from hardware devices a virtualized control node or console. Experience with multi-tenant network architectures Familiarity with a width variety network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendorsClearance: Active or current Top Secret clearance, SCI eligible, adjudicated through DoD Central Adjudicative Facility (CAF).
