The Global Solutions Division (GSD) of General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Vice President and General Manager (VPGM) to lead, manage and grow the Integrated Network Solutions (iNet) Sector. The business currently serves customers in federal, state and local and commercial markets with an emphasis on Public Safety and Security and Large Scale Network Infrastructure build.  The business has capabilities in high end system engineering and design, network infrastructure build and delivery and system operation and maintenance.  The VPGM will lead the organization and develop and execute to the strategic plan of GSD’s Integrated Network Solutions (iNet) with full profit and loss responsibility. Emphasis will be on developing and implementing a plan that will significantly grow the business from its current business base with the goal of creating value for customers and stakeholders  

Job Responsibilities:

    Lead an organization of approximately 400 people with full profit and loss responsibility.Develop and articulate the vision for the organization with the goal of growing the business by creating value for customers and stakeholders Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for profitable growth of the businessDevelop strong relationships with customers with a focus on increasing customer satisfaction and new business growth.Develop and direct the implementation of operating plans practices, policies, and procedures.Perform day-to-day management functions including direction of personnel, budgets, projects, etc.Establish and manage budgets.Conduct detailed reviews of the new business initiatives, programs, and overall operations on a regular basis to maintain budgets and assure performance obligations. Recruit, lead, retain and develop talent with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion in the workforce.Maintain a current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, procedures, and policiesParticipate in special projects as required

Education Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.Master's Degree preferred.Typically requires 15 or more years of related experience, including management experience with profit and loss responsibilities.
