Configuration Manager SME
Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities: This position is for a Configuration Manager to serve on a large program team developing, maintaining, and deploying a group of highly complex web applications. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of a complex baseline of several web applications and platforms that are deployed worldwide. Responsibilities include: * Develop and maintain baselines for applications. * Develop and maintain platform baselines for infrastructure components such as OS, database, monitoring tools (eg Nagios), network load balancers, Linux, etc. * Ensure new releases and deployments are well coordinated, communicated (ORRs, Change Activities), and scheduled (Implementation Tasks). * Establish processes and procedures to ensure repeatability and consistency in maintaining the infrastructure baseline. * Maintain the configuration baseline of Linux servers, monitoring tools, audit, etc. * Maintain the configuration baseline of encryption solutions. * Manage the baseline configuration for all-project related work (eg schedules, control gates, etc.). * Support project in defining, documenting, and changing and baselining project configuration items. * Create, submit, monitor build reports and change requests. * Ensure adherence of CM processes throughout life cycle development phases. * Ensure accuracy of the Change Management Database. * Manage the configuration of software executables to environments (dev, test, demo, prod). * Work both independently and in an Agile team environment. * Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues. Required Qualifications: Minimum of twelve years demonstrated on-the-job experience serving as a full-time or part-time (50%) Configuration Manager for a large complex, high volume, and large user base system. 2. Demonstrated one year on-the-job experience serving as a full time Configuration Manager for a large complex Linux based environment. 3. Demonstrated on-the-job experience working on an agile development team. 4. Demonstrated on-the-job experience building releases with code delivery mechanisms (eg Maven and/or Ant) and code repositories (eg Subversion and/or Git.). 5. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with continuous delivery solutions such as Hudson, Jenkins, or Puppet. The clearance level required is TS/SCI w/Poly Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated on-the-job experience performing Configuration Manager duties within the sponsor's organization. 2.
