Job Description We are looking for a Manufacturang Accountant/ Cost Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. Responsibilities: Prepare and examine accounting records, monthly Income statements and balance sheets, yearend financial statements, quarterly payroll taxes, and other financial reporting. Daily/weekly/monthly post to the General Ledger Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts Responsible for monthly financial budget statements Develop and analyze department Budgets Maintenance of all business record files Responsible for detailed and ongoing financial analysis of business results, trends, and generation of profit enhancing financial management recommendations. Assist in periodic review of insurance plans and other expenses with the senior executives. Perform all accounting work assignments and any other administrative office functions assigned. Prepare and present reports as required by management, governmental agencies, safety agencies, and creditors. Plan, forecast and control cash flow to minimize use of borrowed funds. Ensure that all relevant financial information is routinely monitored for cash position accuracy, including bank balances, receipts, disbursements, and accounts receivable, accounts payable and weekly billings. Establish and maintain the requisition of equipment, materials, and services by department heads and special capital purchases so they are properly accounted for on the financial statements and balance sheet. Review and code Accounts Payables when necessary. Management of the aged Accounts Receivable and responsible for all collection activities of past due invoices. Responsible for the reconciliation of the monthly bank accounts. Responsible for proper setup of general ledger accounts in the payroll system. Responsible for the payroll department Oversee and assist in physical inventories and monitors cycle count program Reconciles finished goods inventories Maintaining Cost Accounting System Analysis of job cost information - estimated Vs actual. Proper application of payroll, expenses, vendor invoices, and special purchases to Job Costs. Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor. Analyzing data collected and recording results Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports Making estimates of new and proposed product costs Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Responsible for ongoing application of good accounting practices for all of SESCO's financial statements and records. ‚Äč Qualifications: Previous experience in accounting or other related fields Fundamental knowledge of GAAP Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools Detail and deadline-oriented Strong analytical and problem solving skills Having worked in a manufacturing facility has at least 5 yearsexperience.
