Low Voltage/PLC Engineer
Job Description BEFORE YOU APPLY - YOU MUST BE A US CITIZEN FOR THIS POSITION Our firm is currently looking for an experienced, self-motivated Electrical Engineer with PLC/PAC programming capabilities to maintain and support our industry-leading products and systems. The Electrical Engineer will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved in engineering, product development, custom PLC/PAC coding, implementation, and customer support. The ideal candidate is an inventive problem solver that is capable of working through technical challenges and employing pragmatic solutions. (MUST BE A US CITIZEN) Typical responsibilities and duties Support sales efforts in scoping out project requirements, selecting/estimating appropriate equipment for the project, and developing technical documentation per customer/sales requests Experience with controls, low voltage wiring, and remote data sensors Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD or other) to perform engineering tasks, create red lines of customer sites, and develop wiring schematics (wiring schematics a must) Have experience with PLC programming (Automation Direct, Allen-Bradley, or others) Maintain engineering drawing database and database of products / components / technologies utilized to execute work Create training courses and help develop product manuals Interfacing with field service group to help diagnose and repair in-house products as well as customer owned equipment in the field Member of a product research and development team responsible for bringing new products to market Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering Qualifications and skills: 3+ years in electrical engineering experience Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred Competent in the use of electrical engineering software (CAD or other) Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes Understanding of networking and IoT technologies a plus Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the need arises Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Pay is commensurate with experience.
