Manages all aspects of the Electronic Patient Care Reporting System (ePCRS) for the department to include hardware/software support, wireless connectivity, cloud based/on premise solutions, and vendor contacts in a 24/7 environment. Other responsibilities include:
  • Provides end user technical support at the fire stations, area hospitals, and administrative sites as it relates to ePCRS.
  • Assists with agency servers, desktops, laptops, peripherals, maintenance, security permissions, backup/recovery of user data, and Active Directory administration.
  • Ensures technical solutions comply with all county IT policies.
  • Serves as a technical liaison to DIT and outside vendors.
  • Provides assistance to other technical team members and special projects as needed.
This position may require after-hours support in emergency situations. The annual salary offer will not exceed the mid-point ($83,646) of the advertised salary range. Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus three years of network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields; plus one year of experience in network or telecommunications system design, analysis, installation, and troubleshooting.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with electronic patient care reporting systems.
  • Experience with public safety or emergency management information systems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work well in team environments or independent with minimum supervision.
  • Skilled in using technology for training and tracking equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift computer parts and various hardware up to 50 pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
