Behavioral Health Business Operations Manager (Management Analyst III)
Performs advanced-level analytic and technical work in the analysis, research, and policy and procedure development related to CSB operations that influence the CSB's revenue maximization efforts. Manages the Patient Access Service and Financial Eligibility Determination units for the largest CSB in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Duties will include overseeing client registration in an EHR environment; client financial responsibility and health insurance usage; client health benefits screening, assessment and application assistance; and client prescription assistance. Supervises business support staff throughout multiple sites in Fairfax County. Monitors, assesses, and reports on the business processes and activities, including developing, recommending, and implementing plans and programs for improvement in the performance, quality, compliance, or efficiency of operations and services. Provides technical advice, training and guidance to departmental managers, supervisors and staff.

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; plus four years of professional work experience with in the functional area such as human resources, budgeting and financial management, contract administration and business management, business administration, public administration, mathematics, statistics or related field.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, a driving record check, TB test, and a check with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) to the satisfaction of the employer.
Master's degree in business, finance, health care administration or similar field, plus at least 10 years of experience working in similar increasing management position within the behavioral health care environment. Extensive knowledge of public/private insurance benefits, health services customer service standards and practices, and front-end electronic medical record use. Must also possess experience managing a diverse business support staff throughout multiple centers/sites.
Ability to travel to CSB sites more than three times a week. Ability to carry up to 15 pounds. Acuity of vision is required to read data on computer monitor. Ability to use keyboard driven equipment. Must be able to communicate clearly with others. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
