Requisition Number Post Date Title Mortgage Junior Loan Processor City Herndon State VA Description a Assist Mortgage Loan Processors during loan process Responsible for ensuring files adhere to credit union policy regulatory and secondary market guidelines Answer inquiries and keep credit union personnel and customers updated on the status of applications and any exceptions Serve as liaison with service providers and vendors to ensure quality and timeliness of service Provide feedback to supervisor for process improvement Process loan files Set up loans as we import them from the POS portal Verify accuracy of documents received and timeliness of disclosures Order required credit reports credit supplements mortgage insurance appraisals flood certifications title work and other documentation to complete loan files As necessary gather additional documentation required by underwriting Complete Verifications of Employment and order Tax Transcripts Provide assistance to Loan Processors in ensuring loans meet all compliance requirements Review loan files for completion accuracy and neatness prior to delivering to closing department Submit loan documentation for third party review Perform other job related instructions as requested by their manager subject to reasonable accommodations Communicate directly with loan officers borrowers real estate agents or other interested parties Proactively contacts borrowers to collect documentation necessary to process files Keep parties informed of file progress Supports closing process Provides assistance as necessary to closers ensuring closer has all necessary documentation to complete closing package Manage pipeline and meet required critical deadlines Monitors work flow to ensure closing date and or approval date required Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required years of previous Mortgage Lending experience preferred Ability to assimilate complex lending laws and regulations and apply them on a practical basis Knowledge of the mortgage loan origination and automated underwriting systems Ability to target and adhere to timelines under variable demand scenarios Basic knowledge of mortgage calculations and financial accounting principles Strong attention to detail with excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills Excellent time management skills Ability to identify and resolve problems in timely matter by gathering and analyzing information Ability to interact with members in a courteous manner face to face and by telephone Ability to handle a flexible schedule Effective oral and written communication with customers co workers and all levels of management Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work well with co workers and all levels management Ability to identify and resolve problems in timely matter by gathering and analyzing information Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Team player that is highly motivated and goal oriented Computer literate SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS All positions require US citizenship and a Federal Government Security Clearance Those with an active security clearance are
