Not Your Average Joe s is seeking Cooks to join our team A Cook is responsible for serving our guests our team and Not Your Average Joea s with unparalleled hospitality to create unforgettable guest and team member experiences every day Job Duties Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following a Understand our Guest Obsessed culture and do whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience a Set up station with food products and utensils and turn on equipment to ensure the station is ready for production a Prepare raw ingredients adhering to all recipes for use on the line and for use in food prep recipes a Use proper portioning techniques and recipe procedures to create prepared food products a Read tickets and or listen to what dishes are called to determine what when items need to be prepared a Check and adjust temperature of equipment to ensure food is cooked and stored at the proper temperature a Ensure station is clean and sanitized at all times according to standardsa Assists other team members and fellow management as needed to aid in the service of guests a Arrives to work on time well groomed and in the proper work attire and ready to work a Demonstrate a helpful positive attitude at all times to guests and team members a Completes all assigned tasks and duties assigned by managers supervisors Minimum Requirements a Must be able to understand and follow direction from others a Able to perform basic math functions read recipes and memorize and replicate food production procedures a Must have skill and coordination in using kitchen utensils and equipment required a Able to work in a high volume fast paced work environment a Able to bend at the waist and lift items up to lbs to waist level and move items up to lbs for distances of up to feet a Ability to remain standing and active for an hour shift a Ability to hear understand and respond to employeesa and guestsa requests in a loud environment a Ability to tolerate exposure to cold and hot temperatures below F and above F throughout the shift
