The Network Operation (NOC) Analyst I will ensure timely and professional execution of a broad range of responsibilities, while maintaining high levels of customer service within a highly diverse environment. This role includes monitoring and maintaining the network, servers, and services which are critical to our business. The NOC Analyst I provides alert escalations and effective communications to IT and Beacon's user community. Additional duties include answering helpdesk calls and performing basic Tier I support for general end user issues. Process adherence and detailed documentation is vital. Work schedule available is Saturday through Tuesday, 7amto 5:30pm EST. Position Responsibilities: Monitoring and maintaining the network, servers and services 24/7/365. Monitors and maintains the network, servers and services in a 24x7x365 environment Maintains internal (NOC) documentation per process and procedures Runs applicable jobs without error, in accordance with established production schedules and instructions Maintains all applicable logs and journals and provides thorough review and hand-off to following shift Analysts Responsible for basic troubleshooting of network routers and switches to isolate the trouble and take appropriate action to resolve Answers helpdesk calls and provides Tier 1 end user support such as, but not limited to, password resets, access issue resolution, end point device issues, and ticket creation Applies an understanding of current hardware, software and proprietary applications to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve basic to intermediate technical issues within required response time, quality and productivity standards Applies comprehensive customer service skills in all interactions with end users and colleagues, utilizing communication and collaboration best practices Maintains one's knowledge and skills in basic network and system administration, hardware, software applications, and operating systems through self-learning, in-house training, and/or applicable coursework Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required Position Requirements: Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. At least two years of technical coursework is required. A combination of technical certifications and relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of the two years of technical coursework. Licensure : DesiredCertifications: Cisco: CCNA Microsoft: MCTS or MCSA A+ Network+ ITIL v3 Help Desk Institute Certification(s) COMPTA Relevant Work Experience: At least two years of progressively responsible experience in a multi-platform (ie IBM, Intel, Unix, Cisco or similar) Computer Operations environment or Computer Operations Help Desk is required.
