Job Description Teaching English as the Secondary Language in CHINA English teaching jobs are in high demand in China , with over 300 positions open in elementary schools, high schools, and colleges for Fall 2017. SeaDragon Educational (SDE) Service, an educational and cultural exchange organization authorized by the Information Research Center of International Talents. The ideal applicant would have the following qualifications: 1) Native English speaker. 2) Bachelor's degree or higher. 3) Willing to teach one year or more. Appointment decisions will be made quickly in order to fill the positions. Applicants will be matched to a position based on their preference (ie elementary, middle, high school). Below is what you can expect working in this position: Appointment from August 28th, 2017, to July 6th, 2018 (10 months, 9 months working, one-month vacation, plus 11 national holidays) Monday to Friday, 8 am - 12 pm, 2 pm - 5:30 pm, maximum 18 lessons per week, 40-45 minutes per lesson with approximately 13 contact hours per week 40-60 students per class in most schools Most classrooms are equipped with a computer, projector, board, and microphone 8,000-12,000 RMB monthly salary (equivalent to $1,175-$1,762 - annual salary $14,100-$21,145). Note: The cost of living is significantly lower in most cities in China compared to the US, so more of your paycheck goes directly to you rather than to rent or utilities.
