Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications leads the development and execution of a consistent message and voice for the Bozzuto brand. The Director's areas of responsibilities include: corporate marketing, events management, social media marketing, content marketing strategy, corporate communications, media relations/ PR, internal communications and charitable support. The Director leads company-wide integrated marketing, PR, communications, social media campaigns that support the overall Bozzuto brand, Bozzuto managed communities, and Bozzuto divisions. The Director works closely with the senior leadership, including the Chairman and CEO to counsel on corporate marketing and communications matters ranging from publicity campaigns to crisis management. As the Director of Corporate Marking & Communication, your primary responsibilities include: Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive corporate marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance Bozzuto's image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications. Creates and implements a proactive public relations program utilizing a comprehensive range of tactics, including traditional earned media, social media, and content creation. Works closely with other members of the Marketing, Business Development and Operations to devise marketing and PR strategies that raise the visibility of the Company's innovation, thought leadership, and key strengths. Provides crisis counseling, media training, and PR guidance as needed; develops key messages and Q as needed. Manages PR and marketing agencies. Serves as a primary point of contact for press queries, conducts PR conflicts checks, and provides counsel on media opportunities. Secures and manages a wide range of media and other visibility opportunities, including media interviews, article placements, and market recognition. Writes, edits, and approves press and marketing materials (talking points, pitches, news releases, corporate brochures, corporate marketing materials, and other items). Oversees the company's market recognition program including pursuit of awards for our company and top executives. Works with senior leadership on internal communications program, including internal good news announcements. Edits or advises on the development of content for social media, including blogs, intranet, website, etc. Works with IT and leadership to plan for potential business disruption, to create and implement business continuity solutions and recovery plans enabling the company to resume normal operations as soon as possible following a disaster. Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the CMO. Develop short- and long-term plans, budgets, objectives for the marketing/communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance. Keep informed of developments in all our divisions and use this information to help the organization operate with initiative and innovation. What You Bring to Us: Bachelors Degree required, preferably in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field. Minimum of ten (10) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience that demonstrates accomplishments, knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to the position. Demonstrated track record of success building, developing, inspiring and retaining high performing teams. Retail, hospitality or real estate experience a plus. Public relations agency or journalism experience preferred. Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills as well as a commitment to collaborate with people. Demonstrated relationship development with various media contacts. The ability to exert strong influence across organizations; recognized as the voice of authority in area of responsibility. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box. Strong social media skills.
