Job Description We are seeking an energetic person with a passion and fearless drive to learn new technologies and become a part of a great dynamic team of technology experts. As a Linux System Administrator you will configure, integrate and support internal Linux based research network environments. The type of underlying components that support the platform include Ubuntu Linux as a base operating system, Openstack and KVM. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the design of existing and future platforms. Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot the system and the infrastructure that supports it Routinely interact with software developers and researchers using the platform Provide input to develop performance, security management and functional expansion of the platform Provide assistance to users in accessing and using the platform Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 1 year or more working experience with Ubuntu Linux or related operating system Experience with basic networking and switch configuration Experience with shell scripting and command line interface Bachelor of Science in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, Information Systems, Physics or a related field US Citizen Interim SECRET security clearance (or reinstatement eligible clearance) Preferred Experience: Any DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification A Computing Environment certificate for any operating system Familiarity with DoD/Army IT policies and regulations Knowledge of Cloud and Virtualization technologies, including Openstack and KVM Experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java or Python Experience with configuring OSX or BSD Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting developmental/research systems Experience installing, configuring, monitoring, upgrading and troubleshooting network devices and infrastructure such as switches and routers Experience installing, configuring, monitoring, upgrading and troubleshooting virtual machine provisioning infrastructure Company Description INCA Engineering is a Veteran Owned small business providing professional services and technology solutions that deliver positive impact on our world through creative innovation.
