This position will be located at our Luray Business Office. As the Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for our Peaks of Otter accounting. This will be a very rewarding and fun position to have. The Opportunity JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE - Describe the role of the job in 2-3 points and state why this position is necessary in the company. Daily Sales Reporting Accounts Payable Compliance with Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (END RESULTS AND OBJECTIVES) List essential functions and responsibilities for this position (Percentage of time spent should be equal to or less than 100%). 1st Major Function (25% of time spent) Daily Sales Reporting - Gather daily sales data by location by revenue type, by tender type and enter into Excel. Summarize Daily data for weekly submission in People Soft Financials. Report missing or unusual amounts to the Accounting Manager and follow up as directed with the corresponding department. 2 nd Major Function (50% of time spent) Accounts payable - Receive incoming invoices, verify proper authorization , code with proper account and enter into People Soft Financials. Maintain orderly files for retrieval of Invoices as needed. Prepare files for transfer off site as indicated by Record Retention Policy. Other Duties: Support Month End Close with data gathering and entry into People Soft Financials. Run Month End reports for review by Accounting Manager and Controller. Gather data for analysis as directed. Collect A/R, prepare inventory reports on weekly basis for the Weekly Operating Report, and prepare reports on a monthly basis. All other duties as assigned.
