Title: Mortgage Loan Officer Hours: Full Time Compensation: Salary Draw + Commission Job Description: As a member of the North Atlantic Mortgage Corporation team you will work in a comfortable yet exciting environment. Loan Officers are responsible for residential and commercial loans from origination of the file, through approval, and until settlement and the client is happy. LO's will be required to prequalify prospective clients, review all financing options offered through North Atlantic Mortgage Corporation, and remain in close contact with their clients throughout their home buying and/or refinancing process. Additionally, Originators should assist purchasers facing challenges such as credit repair and ensure their understanding of the loan process. Loan Officers represent North Atlantic Mortgage Corporation and such maintain our highly ethical standards. Job Requirements: -Report daily to company President -Remain in close and constant contact active clients through their home buying or refinancing process -Obtain all necessary paperwork from the client -Analyze all information gathered, ensuring all documentation is in order -Obtain any additional paperwork as needed -Verify all information pertinent to loan requirements -Follow up with loan processor through entire underwriting process -Maintain working knowledge of offered programs and company procedures -Represent North Atlantic Mortgage in a professional and upstanding manner Candidate Requirements: -Experience in Sales for 5+ yrs required, preferably loan origination -Associates degree or higher required -Preferred business education or experience in finance and/or lending field -Must possess effective verbal and written communications skills -Be familiar with all aspects of loan life cycle -Loan processing and/or loan origination experience preferred -Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conv, conforming & non-conforming guidelines -High level of professionalism and work ethics -Computer proficiency is a must, specifically Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Calyx Point, Loan Prospector and Desktop Underwriter
