Job Description Job Responsibilities include: -Ability to prep food for all menus, including meats, vegetables, and dessert items -Stocking food inventory on delivery days Maintaining walk-in cooler, refrigerator, and shelf organization - Quickly gain in-depth familiarity with our recipes, ingredients, and kitchen operations in order to work independently and with others on the team. - Ensure that all production is done according to preset recipes which outline ingredients, cooking instructions, weights and measures, and portion sizes. - Ensure that food quality, quantity, freshness, and consistency meet the highest of standards. - Ensure all prepared items are heated to appropriate temperature and minimize the time prepared items are exposed to the temperature danger zone. - Ensure all packaged foods are packaged, labeled, dated, covered, and kept refrigerated. - Manage ingredient inventory so as to greatly limit waste and spoilage. Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms. - Fulfill production requests in a timely manner. - Keep kitchen continually clean, well-maintained and organized. Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner. REQUIREMENTS: - Previous kitchen experience in high-quality scratch food production and cooking techniques, as well as leading staff and managing overall kitchen operations. Previous experience in batch production, such as hotel/banquet and/or catering a plus. - Must possess the ability to quickly execute job tasks and authoritatively delegate tasks to staff, as well as effectively coach and mentor staff. - Willingness to work as part of a team and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. - Ability to work unsupervised and maintain high-level professionalism. - Ability to follow procedures, instructions, and meet timelines. - Available for flexible scheduling to meet production needs. - Ability to handle the physical requirements associated with culinary production, including standing/walking for long periods of time, bending and lifting loads of up to 50 lbs., repetitive use of hands for multiple tasks, and etc. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $11.00-13.00 /hour Required language: * English 30 to 40 per week with open availability and willingness to work 12 hours shifts.
