Job Description Kiddie University Capitol Hill is growing and adding to our talented team. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Director for our new school on H st. Job Requirements: Has minimum of 4 years experience as Center Director in a licensed childcare center with more than 100 children. Franchised childcare center experience preferred Experience managing an DC 5 star childcare center, preferred Bachelors degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field required Thorough knowledge of OSSE Childcare licensing rules and regulations Knowledge of USDA and food program guidelines preferred Must be highly organized, efficient and possess excellent customer relationship management skills Must have the ability to train and coach staff Proficient with computer programs such as Smartcare, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and ability to learn other programs quickly Energetic, flexible and ability to multi-task Key Responsibilities and Expectations: Ensure compliance with DC licensing standards and Kiddie University operations and quality standards. Live the Values and be an excellent role model for staff in all areas. Hire, train and manage staff to maintain high levels of morale and motivation. Inspires staff to grow and recognizes their achievements. Develop and execute marketing plans to grow enrollment and build the Kiddie University brand. Assist teachers with weekly development and execution of curriculum and program activities Procure classroom supplies, food and other materials necessary for center operations. Manages budget in compliance with agreed parameters. Communicates appropriately with parents, staff, and children on a regular basis, while respecting their confidentially. Represents Kiddie University to public, community, parents, visitors and staff with professionalism and integrity. Manages technology and social media according to state laws, state licensing regulations, owners' requirements and home office standards. Kiddie University was established to enhance the effectiveness of child care owners and administrators throughout the United States. The child care consultants at KIDDIE UNIVERSITY have their beginning as a Family managed center based in Prince Georges County and Charles County Maryland. In 1991, the first child care center came into existence from a child care center by another name that was operating in the red with low enrollment and high staff turnover. The Family team, which is now known as KIDDIE UNIVERSITY, took over and almost immediately transformed the Center into one of the most premier centers in Prince Georges County. In just over 3 years, enrollment increased from 70 children at one location to over 500 children in 4 separate locations. During this period, management collaborated with numerous public and private organizations to provide resources to its children and families. Over the years management has written and received numerous grant funding for program expansions and achieved national accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young children (NAEYC). With a rising number of failing and/or unlicensed child care centers, our mission is to coach these facilities and transform them into quality child development centers that meet and exceed federal and local state child care center requirements.
