Position Details Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating the cleaning of guest rooms and public area as efficiently as possible, while keeping with the highest standards of cleanliness as specified by DNC's standard operating procedures. Essential Functions: Coordinates all daily activities and plans for sufficient staffing to clean guest rooms and public areas. Inspects guest rooms and public outlets daily to ensure the quality assurance program is being followed. Acts on assignments received from the Housekeeping Supervisor. Prepares the weekly inventory. Informs the Housekeeping Supervisor of needed supplies. Creates all Purchase Orders pertaining to housekeeping. Checks in all supplies and reports any discrepancies. Provides the materials needed to be discussed at departmental meetings. Also attends all Housekeeping Department meetings Keeps the Housekeeping Supervisor informed of pertinent information pertaining to the department. Assists in the direct training program of the new housekeeping employees. Prepares the daily housekeeping assignment sheets. Reports room discrepancies to the front desk. Completes the daily housekeeping report. Periodically, during each day informs the front desk of cleaning progress. Follows up to ensure all maintenance requests are handled in an efficient manner pertaining to guest rooms and department equipment. Reviews and becomes familiar with all special instructions from the front desk. Provides for a safe work environment by following all company safety and security policies and procedures. Will perform cleaning duties on slower day or when staff shortages occur. Non-essential Functions: Is expected to perform any related duties as requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Adheres to Greenpath and Guestpath Universal Standards Education & Experience: Prior Housekeeping Experience Supervisory Experience Computer experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to multitask Use of math skills to complete inventories Understand and operate housekeeper computer to enter, change and update room status. Must be self-motivated, able to work without direct supervision, and eager to be challenged and initiate projects and opportunities. Must read, write, speak and understand English well. Must possess the ability to verbally communicate effectively and positively with co-workers and guests. Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. A high level of concentration and attention to detail is required. Must have the ability to work independently, prioritize work to meet deadlines and make decisions regarding correct formatting of work.
