Job Description Government Contractor in Washington, DC has an exciting opportunity for a experienced Sr. Accountant to join our professional team. Responsibilities: Development of cost pricing for proposal pricing development and lead and implementation of pricing models. Pricing models are both administration and software development type proposals with strong scheduling background. Coordinate accounting activities with management and other staff members in order to provide current and accurate financial information. Contract financial updates, burns and participating in Cost Proposals a must. Maintaining banking relations Perform cash management analysis. Perform and oversee accounts payable functions within the organization's established policies and be able to participate and revise existing policies as needed. Coordinate with Contracts Department for AR contract compliance. Prepare and file multi-state taxes and IRS tax forms related to the 5500 and other corporate tax related forms. Strong Corporate experience in S, LLC and Partnerships required. Perform financial activities, such as indirect rate reviews, monthly, quarterly and yearly reviews, corporate tax reviews and coordinate with accounting and or tax firm for year-end projections. Sr. AR experience, year budget development. Coordinate and provides regular financial status updates to outside vendors and consultants as required. Years' Experience Required : 7+ years of hands on accounting experience. 7+ years working with corporate management. 9+ years of contract and proposal pricing experience. 9+ years of financial documentation preparation. 10+ years of government contract accounting & finance reporting experience. 10+ years of Financial, government and management reporting at the corporate level. Minimum Education and Certifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. Technical Skills Required: Must have a working knowledge of excel, accounting software such as Great Plains, Deltek, etc., Preparation and administration of A/P, A/R and Payroll. Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Government cost accounting, including developing overhead rates and proposal pricing. Must be highly organized, reliable and have excellent time management skills. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Hands on accounting/finance experience and responsibilities that includes but is not limited to credit claims, refunds, monthly financials preparation, monthly project burn reports, invoice processing and verification, expense coding, drafting payment checks, posting, AP/AR processing, verification of receipts,. Illustrate that the expertise has been both at the customer level and at the CEO/COO level of management. Strong audit and review skills for all work released both internally and externally.
